Drake Hotel

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in any time after 3PM; check-out at 11AM. Need an extra-long sleep-in? A late check-out fee applies to all late check-out requests and are subject to availability. Light sleeper? E-mail or call us to request a quieter room and we will try our very best to accommodate.

Do you offer free Wi-Fi?

Yes! We offer complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi in all guest rooms and public areas.

Is parking available at the Drake Hotel?

Green P lot located at 45 Abell St. Carpark Lot #261, a half block south of the hotel. Purchase your ticket from the machine and display it on your dash, or pay online or with the Green P Parking APP. Tickets are $2.00 / half hour + $14.00 for 12 hours.  Please note –  select “Max Time” repeatedly for more than 12-hour increments.

 

 

Is the Drake Hotel pet-friendly?

The Drake Hotel is proudly dog-friendly for stayovers, welcoming one pup per room. Please register your pet in advance with our Best Friends Welcome Package, which includes a $70 housekeeping fee per stay. Service animals are welcome throughout all hotel spaces. For non-service animals, dogs are welcome on our streetside patio but are not permitted inside dining areas.

Is the Drake Hotel an accessible building?

The Drake Hotel is a historic building, and all Classic Wing guest rooms are accessible by stairs. Rooms in our Modern Wing are accessible by elevator. All restaurant zones and public spaces are accessible, with the exception of one of our private dining spaces adjacent to the SkyYard (RM222) which has 3 stairs.

What kind of deposit is required for incidentals?

A valid credit card is required for booking + check-in (VISA/MASTERCARD/AMEX). Interac Visa/Mastercard Debit is not considered a valid credit card and is not accepted for pre-paid bookings, please reach out if you used an Interac Visa/MC for pre-payment, or your booking may be canceled. We require a matching government-issued photo I.D. to be presented upon check-in for payment. Incidentals are collected as a pending charge at check-in, posted as $200 at all times.  If you present debit (Interac Visa/MC), incidentals will be set at a minimum $500/booking, held at the time of check-in as a security deposit. Any additional charges to the credit card may occur post your stay related, but not limited to, smoking, pets, noise complaints, minibar consumption, nonregistered guests, and damage to our building. The credit card used to secure the booking must be presented at check-in. If it is not provided, the charges will be reversed, and the card presented on-site will be processed for payment.

What is the Drake Hotel's cancellation policy?

We require 72 hours notice before check-in time (before 3PM) to avoid a cancellation charge in the amount of one night’s stay. This 72-hour policy is also in effect for changing dates or the total number of nights within a confirmed reservation. Reservation date changes, rescheduling your stay or cancellations within 72 hours of your reservation will be subject to a cancellation fee in the amount of your first night’s stay.

What about for pre-paid or non-refundable reservations?

Pre-paid reservations will be charged the full cost of the reservation within 24 hours of making the reservation. If payment is unsuccessful within 48 hours of making the reservation, the hotel reserves the right to cancel the reservation. Date changes to the reservation are not allowed. Cancellation will result in forfeiture of the prepayment. The credit card used at the time of making the reservation must be valid for the entire stay.

What is the Drake's Code of Conduct for guests?

The Drake upholds a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, abuse, harassment, or violence; violations will result in immediate removal and forfeiture of payment. Please refer to our Code of Conduct for more information.

How many guests can be registered to a room?

Only registered hotel guests are permitted in your room after 11PM. All non-registered guests may be asked to leave the hotel rooms/hallways after midnight. We also ask that you are considerate of your neighbors and keep noise at acceptable levels. Noise issues are subject to eviction. If you’re seeking a post-midnight party, it can usually be found somewhere else in the building!

Is the Drake Hotel a 100% smoke free property?

We have a strict non-smoking policy. If you smoke in your room at any time during your stay, a fine of $250 per day will be applied to your bill. Smoking is not permitted in the lobby or in the bar/dining areas.

Are the Drake Devonshire + Drake Motor Inn pet-friendly?

At the Drake Devonshire, service animals are welcome throughout all hotel spaces. For non-service animals, dogs are welcome on our streetside patio but are not permitted inside dining areas.

The Drake Motor Inn’s 12 playful rooms are all 100% dog-welcoming, and just in case you forget your ‘woof’ gear, we’ve also got cozy dog beds and crates available. Please register your pet in advance with our Best Friends Welcome Package, which includes a $65 housekeeping fee per stay. Each and every pet-visiting room is equipped with HEPA filters too, so your breezy motel experience with us is well, even breezier.

What kind of deposit is required for incidentals?

All reservations require a valid credit card to guarantee a stay when booking. We reserve the right to place a hold on the credit card for any pre-emptive charges before or on the day of arrival. We require a personal credit card when booking and a matching government-issued photo I.D. to be presented upon check-in for payment. Any additional charges to the credit card may occur post your stay related, but not limited to, smoking, pets, noise complaints, minibar consumption, nonregistered guests, and damage to our build.

What is the Drake Devonshire's + Drake Motor Inn's cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy varies seasonally. For stays between April 1st and September 1st, changes or modifications before 3 pm, 14 days before arrival are permissible without penalty. For stays between September 2nd, to March 31st, 2025, changes or modifications before 3 pm, 72 hours before arrival are permissible without penalty (unless a full deposit non-refundable offer is booked). The full amount of your stay, Room + Tax, will be charged at the cutoff date (14 days/72 hours before your arrival date, or at the time of booking for stays booked within the cancellation period or at the time of booking, if you book a full deposit non-refundable offer). Cancellations outside these dates will be charged the full amount of the deposit. This cancellation policy is also in effect for changing dates or the total number of nights within a confirmed reservation.

Is parking available at the Drake Devonshire + Drake Motor Inn?

Parking for overnight guests at Drake Devonshire is located directly in front of the Inn.Upon arrival, please visit the front desk to be issued an access card which can be used to enter the Lot. At the Drake Motor Inn, parking a separate parking lot is available adjacent to this property, as well as parking spaces directly in front of your room for many room types.
